In The Jungle

“What the hell are they teaching kids in school. My daughter sat and tried to explain this to me. She stated, “That comb-like brown thing flying is a baby monkey. The black and yellow slug with wings is supposed to be a bee. The bird has been exposed to radiation of some sort. What I thought was a road is a branch that floats with two used Q-tips for trees. The snake at the bottom looks like green anal beads. What cockatoo do you know has teeth from a pick sticking out of its head and still lives. What nation does this shit take place so I don’t move there? Anyone have an answer for that please inform me.”

  3. You’re an asshole! I can tell what your daughter drew! I hate parents like you, always criticizing in a really mean way. At least with my drawing my parents couldn’t tell if it was turtle or a fish. They didn’t criticize me! They just asked me and I told them I messed up and it was too late. Your daughters drawing is beautiful and I love it! So go f*ck yourself.

  5. Seriously your daughter just has her own style for the way she sees things…. its an adorable drawing and obviously she will be an artist one day but not with this critizism…. I think its very rude of u too say that about the drawing…. but heyy thats my personal opion…. you say whatever you want to about this drawing.

  7. Shut up, Katina. I’d worry too about a kid who draws birds that are exposed to radiation.

  8. Jami on November 12th, 2011
  9. Actually, I think its a pretty nice picture. Hard to see why this parent is so critical of it.

Perhaps the radiation thing was from some kind of eco thing they were taught. That seems to be the fad these days. The rain forests and all that “man” made harm we do. (Most of that is pure junk…but not all) Anyway the kids take it for truth and sounds like she may have inserted some of it in her picture

Don’t know her age, but she has talent. Give her a pat on the back for good work dad. Hope you didn’t express your feelings to her.

  11. This is actually quite a nice picture. If Dali or Picasso did it, it’d be worth millions – and they have done similar.

@ Jami: Why on earth would you “worry about a kid who draws birds that are exposed to radiation?” That is perfectly valid subject matter… You have never seen “Guernica”, have you?
Also, if I were you, I’d be more worried about how many doughnuts you eat in one sitting.

  13. This is gorgeous. Whoever wrote the cruel copy for this is whacked out of their gourd if they’re being serious. I can’t quite tell if it’s sardonic or not – as another poster has pointed out, it looks similar to styles which are VERY popular – when done by adults.

  15. This is a very cute picture. Obviously your daughter is going to be a artist one day…. but not with that critisism. Seriously its not nessasary to to be rude like that. Heyy thats just my opion, you say whatever you want about your daughters work its your kid.

  17. Don’t put an ugly picture of yourself if you’re going to insult others.

  18. Katina on November 13th, 2011
  19. I’m a teacher and I will tell you something right now… Your daughter’s drawing is great! You’re a piss poor parent who needs to go take some parenting classes.

  20. Jeff on November 14th, 2011
  21. Obviously trying too hard to find something to post on here. It is a pretty good picture for a kid.

  23. To all those that are reading to deep into the picture shame on you. The site allows us as parents to say what we don’t say to our kids. I am sure that no parent who say anything but nice or good job to them. Every peice of art work that comes in is not great regardless of who did it. For the lady with the ignorant comment about it being a picasso or dali you are right but I have laughed and made comments about their work myself out of humor. Learn to laugh a little it won’t kill you a bit to have a little bit of humor or an imagination at that. Don’t be so quick to judge because someone could look a kids art work and think worse. This here is a lesson to show how close minded some people are when it comes to life. I enjoyed the laugh and embraced the work. You can’t judge someone you don’t know. Keep that in mind when you make vulger comments on someone being a parent because you might want to examine yourself first. Nor can you scrutinize a person for their honesty. When are quick to judge we need to look in the mirror first to see who the real villian is. The person being honest, or the person that cast the first stone.

  25. Lol this is a pretty fuckin sweet picture. If you can criticize the art, why can’t you have fun with it at the same time? Don’t downgrade your kid, just have some fun with it, and if you need to post your hilarity on a website, go for it, just treat it like it is. It’s a childs depiction of a rain forest, and it’s damn good. Lol draw with your kid or something. Bet you probably can’t draw stick figures straight, at least let your kid laugh at you :D Somebody needs to, I sure am. Andd with all due respect jami, go eat a dick, but you probably already have.. a lot. (yes, that’s a fat joke, bitch)

  27. Guys, calm down. Ever wonder why this site was called “Your Kid’s Art Sucks”? Because it’s to make fun of kids’ art. If you don’t like it, don’t come here and sure as hell don’t post anything.
Sure, this drawing actually is pretty decent for a kid, but in just saying that, what’s the fun in it? Pointing out the flaws and failures is what MAKES this site. Half the people that make the “criticizing” comments aren’t even being serious anyway, so please goddammit stop taking it all so literally.
I actually think this caption was quite funny.

  29. yeah i was gonna say, trying too hard to get a laugh

  31. That picture is awesome… it shows a lot of creativity and imagination! I have always been proud of what my son creates; and I say “shame” to this parent for such hyper-critical statements of their child’s genius. I do realize the name of the website indicates we are all here to make fun of our kids’ artwork; but I think it’s really more for the spirit of the things a child’s mind can come up with. The drawing of the child lost in a mound of dog poop… it’s funny! It doesn’t suck… it is what that child had on his or her mind at that moment. It’s cute and chuckle-worthy… not something the child should be berated about. This parent was trying to use sarcastic humor to make people laugh. Guess what… EPIC FAIL! He (or she) made their own child feel like total shit! I sure hope that kid is strong enough to believe in herself; she sure isn’t going to get supported at home!

  33. Folks, calm down. The poster is just trying (albeit, failing) to be funny.

  35. this picture is crap all they draw is crap haha talk shit about it your kid will grow to be NOTHING

  36. lolu r all stuyupiid on November 23rd, 2011

  38. Ethan Tremblay on November 29th, 2011
  39. This picture is absoulutely beautiful. Stunning. It really caught my eye right away! The child is extremely talented! I hope she draws (or paints) many more such beautiful works of art!

  40. Southern Belle on November 30th, 2011
  41. Oops, someone please correct the spelling of the word, “absolutely” in my post. Thank you!

  42. Southern Belle on November 30th, 2011
  43. i agree with brandy. and it’s a shame that parents have a whole site dedicated to making fun of their kids…

  44. you on December 1st, 2011
  45. This is actually the best pic I’ve seen on here so far, and you gave the longest answer on how shity you thought your kid was so far. So you suck. I would be sad if you were my parent.

  46. hobomcgee on December 3rd, 2011
  47. Yea, the picture is really good, by a talented kid who has their own style. I hope you are kidding or you suck as a parent. By the way, it’s the title of the site that needs to be changed, because it doesn’t really match what’s here: cute pictures that make us laugh, that you or I could have drawn as a child – but no real criticism, just funny comments. Anyways, carry on. Love the pictures, keep ‘em coming.

  48. Julie on December 12th, 2011
  49. please just use my first name, thanks. Sorry.

  51. OMG! ITS A PICTURE THAT A CHILD DREW! I HAPPEN TO LIKE IT, SOME PEOPLE DON’T. SOME PEOPLE THINK ITS WEIRD, BUT I THINK ITS PRETTY. CASE CLOSED!!!

  52. Moo402 on December 13th, 2011
  53. Haha that’s rediculous. No way

  54. AmoleageArm on December 16th, 2011
  55. Clearly trying to hard. It’s a pretty expected child’s picture, and those conclusions you came to are a stretch. Seriously, black and yellow slug with wings? Anal beads?
Cause, you know, children should know the differences.
Why not wait until you child does churn out something worth posting? You just seem desperate.

  56. Garnette on December 28th, 2011
  57. its cute i could tell what was what only thing that confused me was the birds beak and the bee i though it was very cute ethan if ur gonna keep making fun of kids and parents……. that just proves what a low life u r

  58. hayhay @nd nessa lou on December 29th, 2011
  59. To all of you stupid idiots that think this mother actually said that to her kid are fucking retarded. What makes this website are the comments explaining the pictures. If you don’t like it suck a dick. Go to a different website. We’re here to laugh not criticize people for their fucking opinion. Everyone has a different one. You fucking retards are adults.

  65. Late to the party…

But this artist’s style reminds me of Laurel Burch. Very charming.
